What got me to this point?
Following the arrival of my first child Kate and my request for part time hours, I found myself demoted from negotiating multi-million pound contracts to doing the filing. Of course, I rebelled and decided to become my own boss. How hard could it be?
Well, as it turned out, very bloody hard!
What started as a ‘harebrained’ idea over a few glasses of wine back in my corporate days, is now a portfolio of businesses with a team of around 50 people. Although the businesses may appear random on the face of it, my original idea of a lifestyle management service for busy individuals, unexpectedly started appealing to small business owners as well as older people who needed some help.
After doing this for 10 years, I decided to support others to do the same and achieve flexible working. I now help people set up both Virtual Assistant and Companionship businesses with structured step by step programmes to fast track their success and avoid the costly mistakes I made.
